they don't need as frequent brushing....but they do need brushing occasionally. Also, make sure you feed your cat dry food, that helps to control tartar. Once a year they should have dental exam/cleaning by the vet.

Reply:My cats are fed raw meat which flosses their teeth very well while they chew on it. My oldest cats are over 12 years of age and has neither had any visible plaque nor teeth cleaning done. They have all their teeth and they sparkle like new.
