Of course, it is generally known that wisdom teeth are just a part of the human skull that isn't used anymore for reasons of adaptation but when did this start? Was Doc Holliday pulling impacted wisdom teeth? Who was the first dentist to write scholarly essays (or the equivilent for the medical field.. a journal?) regarding the matter?
