Anyone else out there without wisom teeth? Not after being pulled out - I mean never even grew any?!?

I'm 27 and never noticed I didn't have wisdom teeth but after an x-ray at the dentist, this revealed I will never have any. The jaw is empty of any other teeth! My sister has this too and my dentist says its a sign of human evolution and that one day, no-one will have them.





I cant help feeling pretty lucky about this because of all the trouble they cause. Anyone else had this?

Reply:I'm 26 and I don't have them either. I believe that it's human evolution, people haven't used wisdom teeth in thousands of years.
Reply:My friend doesn't have them. Her dentist calls her "one of the new people". It's definitely an evolutionary thing.

Reply:I'm 48 and I have my wisdom teeth on the bottom but, the top teeth never came in, even though I have room for them. I have never had a cavity ether.
Reply:you are a very lucky person. going through the experience of having your wisdom teeth removed and the days afterwards are not something you wish to experience if you don't need to. i'm not sure about the whole human evolution idea. i know someone who had their wisdom teeth removed, and another set grew back and she had to have those also removed.
Reply:I'm 27 and mine haven't gown through. think my Mum didn't get any either. I don't want them.





Just checked I think I have partly grown through top row. I think they have been like that for years.

But my dentist said that they may grow later on... he said he had some patients and their wisdom teeth started to grow when their were in their late 30s... and i heard that it hurts even more. true? i dunno, maybe
Reply:I aint growing top ones, just bottom ones. I was happy.
Reply:I am 56 and have never grown wisdom teeth, nor has our two sons, 32 1\2 and 22.


My husband DID and had to have them taken out...miserable. We are the lucky ones. Not having them also leaves room for our other teeth to remain perfectly straight.
Reply:My sister, mom, and son had no wisdom teeth. I only had one (left upper). My brother had all four, but he's the ape of the family, so it fits.
Reply:I'm the same. I don't have any wisdom teeth either.





Another thing I don't have is tonsils. I used to get sore throats a lot and I went to my doctor, who examined my throat and said "When did you have your tonsils out? It's not on your records." I said that it wasn't on my records because I'd not had my tonsils out! Turns out I was born without them. Go figure!
