Why do animals get replacement teeth when humans dont?

humans only get one replacement - baby to adult teeth, sharks for exemple can replace teeth time and time again.

Why do animals get replacement teeth when humans dont?
Sharks need thier teeth to survive! Humans can survive without teeth!
Reply:becuase human beigns are the worst-manufactured mammal for survival.
Reply:Not all of them do. When an elephant%26#039;s (I think its an elephant) teeth wear out they dont get any more. They cant chew leaves etc and starve.
Reply:Humans do. Children are born with %26#039;milk teeth%26#039; which fall out at about age 10-12 - hence those horrible school photographs. These are replaced with permanent teeth.
Reply:Dunno but if you find out what is causing that do please let me know. I already lost nearly all my hair and 5 teeth so if you can find out what is causing it you could save me before I disappear entirely.
Reply:yes they do, they get dentures
Reply:Not all animals grow back teeth. A dumber question would be %26quot;why do animals have 4 legs when humans only get 2?%26quot;.
Reply:Nobody knows.That%26#039;s just the way God had made them.
Reply:they have evolution we have the NHS
Reply:sharks get replacement teeth as they are designed for high power tearing and ripping and to prevent damage to the month the teeth are more easily broken off than some animals. then they are quickly replaced to allow the fish to keep feeding. we dont actually need to replace our adult teeth if we were to eat a proper diet, todays diet consists of too much sugar and this causes rotting and then death to the teeth. if we ate properly we more or less wouldn%26#039;t need dentists as much as we do.
Reply:Their Dentists don%26#039;t charge anything. We could learn a lot from the animals
Reply:All animals are different. Only some animals get replacement teeth. For rodents like mice and hamsters, on the other hand, their teeth actually grow continually so they need to keep gnawing at things to keep them worn down. For primates like humans and chimps, we only get the one set after our milk teeth. It%26#039;s just different ways our evolution has taken us.
Reply:this is because of their adaptation.

sharks use their teeth much more than humans and with a lot more power.

this princible will probably apply to all animals.
