Which Soda is Worst for your Teeth ? (Limestone)?

My daughter has decided to test which soda is the worst for your teeth for her science fair project this year. She wants to test the effect of the sodas%26#039; acid on teeth.

1)Any idea where teeth could be obtained? The dentist is a no go, and her baby teeth are too small.

2) Would animal teeth suffice? I%26#039;m assuming they%26#039;re made up of the same stuff as human teeth.

3) There is an experiment online where the effects of soda were test on limestone, but I%26#039;ve no idea why limestone was selected.

Which Soda is Worst for your Teeth ? (Limestone)?
Surely you can find some teeth from dentists, veterinarians, zoos, and so on. Look at the main chemical composition of teeth (especially the enamel) versus limestone. The most prevalent acids in soda are phosphoric, carbolic, and carbonic acids. The overall effect from sugar may be greater than that of acid, but much harder to study. Take care to expose only the enamel to the soda, since the root is normally protected by the gums.
Reply:Any dark..soda..like Dr.Pepper and such..

Wen me and my friends were experimenting..they put a tooth..in a cup of dark soda..and it decade...
Reply:Animal teeth or limestone will suffice for this project, but for limestone to be used it would have to be pure limestone. The best teeth to use for this would be monkey teeth because they have a similar make-up to human teeth but monkey teeth would be extremely expensive to get your hands on. I would advice using praire dog teeth because they are easy to obtain and would be cheap. You could go to a local community college and ask for an owl pellet because upon cutting it open you might be able to find the teeth and skulls of rodents and other small animals.
