The largest shark nowadays is the whale shark. Which is very docile and eats only plankton. When a whale shark opens it%26#039;s mouth the full size, a man could stand inside it. The next in line would be the Great White. The only shark that you would not be able to get away from in rivers is the Bull Shark. They are the only one who can tolerate fresh water as well as salt water.
