How much does a tooth weigh?

my sister is doing a science fair project and she needs to know how much a human tooth weighs with and without the roots. please make it as exact as possible. and thanks in advance!

How much does a tooth weigh?
it depends on the tooth if it is a childs or an adults is it a front tooth or a molar? some people have larger teeth the others how can you get an acurate answer?
Reply:about 1-2 ounces
Reply:1.8 ounces
Reply:There's no way to give you an exact weight. It depends on which tooth it is. For example, molars are going to weigh more because they're larger and have four roots. Not to be rude, but you're really not helping you sister. One of the purposes of such projects is to teach kids how to do their own work, including research. Instead of asking for her, teach her how to use a search engine and find what she needs. Seriously, that would be far more helpful to her.
Reply:Well I never actually tried it. I know! get one of your not so good-kinda stupid friends and punch out one of theirs and weigh it on a scale!

GENIUS! or ask a dentist. but I recommend punching your friend!
Reply:The answers using ounces are plain WRONG, so don't pass them along to your sister. More like 1/10 of an ounce is correct, but don't take my word for it. I weigh my extracted teeth monthly and this is how I know what ballpark it is, but this is not the exact measurement. Grams would be more useful in weighing individual teeth.
