If human teeth, or even shark even worn out over time from grinder relatively soft food, how about woodpecker's beak? The constant pecking into wood, I guess, should at least have some effect to cause it to wear out. Is that the case?
If so, to what extend?
Does woodpecker's beak wear out over time?
Unlike teeth, the beak is a living growing structure that (within limits) repairs itself. The inside is growing and the outside is tough, more like hooves and bones than teeth.
