How come a lot of humans have messed up teeth and animals hardly ever do?

People are born with crooked snaggle teeth and anmals have good teeth wtf?

How come a lot of humans have messed up teeth and animals hardly ever do?
That's not true.
Reply:Some ppl say it's b/c we bottle feed our babies--- studies have shown that breastfed babies are more-likely to have straighter teeth.

Some animals to do have "messed up" teeth--- dogs commonly do, so many so that some ppl get braces for their dogs teeth. I think it could be that we just notice it more among our own species.
Reply:animals use their teeth more often for rougher things, so their teeth get worn down, broken, fall out, and so theres more space in the jaw for the teeth to fit in so they aren't crooked
Reply:Other mammals besides humans have messed up teeth too. Check out chimps, bull dogs, and gophers. I would hardly consider their teeth to be perfect.
Reply:Because we are very effective adaptors (we use tools, for example!) individual humans with things that would make other animals incapable of surviving to breed (teeth that don't work, terrible eyesight, stuff like that) that are caused by mutations from normal in our genetic make up SURVIVE in our populations, and are inherited by the next generation.

Early in the 20th century, many scientists were concerned that this fact was dooming us all to bad eyesight and bad teeth, but their research, which was probably well-intentioned at the time, was the foundation of modern Eugenics, which most people agree is a scary concept.
Reply:Because humans are messed up and animals are not. I'm just being silly. Really though, in the wild, animals that are not equipped to live, die. Humans fix and correct their problems or can in regards to health issues.
Reply:You ought to see my dog if you think that's true. She's a Yorke chihuahua mix and her teeth stick out so bad she can't even shut her mouth. Her grill's a wreck.
